Pet Friendly Rooms At The Winds Resort On Ocean Isle Beach, NC
Bringing a pet into any pet free room is against NC law and will result in an eviction of the pet.
Acceptable pets in pet friendly rooms include cats (declawed only) and dogs weighting 30 pounds or less. Animals of other species are not permitted on property.
A Pet Maintenance Fee of $25 will be added to the daily room rate.
The Winds welcomes Service Animals at any time. In this case the weight limit and pet fee do not apply. In order to ensure a happy experience for all of our resort guests, pet owners agree to acknowledge the following:
1. PET QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome quiet, non-aggressive pets that are housebroken, and well behaved as not to disturb other guests. All pet guests must be completely free of fleas and ticks, be clean, well groomed and up to date on shots and vaccinations.
2. PET RULES IN THE ROOM
All pets must sleep in their crates, carriers, or a pet bed. Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture. Under no circumstances may a guest pet be bathed in the guest room bathrooms. Please check with the resort for the name of a nearby pet grooming service should your pet require bathing.
3. NEVER LEAVE PET UNATTENDED IN THE UNIT
Pets are not to be left unattended in a guest unit at any time unless kept in a travel carrier or cage. For your pet’s safety and the safety of our staff, the staff is not permitted to enter a room when the pet is not caged unless the owner is present.
4. PET RULES OUTSIDE THE ROOM
Dogs must always be on a leash when outside the unit and on the premises of the resort. Pets are not allowed in the pool and spa areas or any food and beverage serving areas. The Town of Ocean Isle Beach does enforce a leash law in town. No dogs shall be permitted on the beach strand between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm during the period between Memorial Day through Labor Day. This shall apply regardless of whether or not they are on a leash. Every dog within the town shall wear a collar bearing the rabies vaccination tag. When outside the unit, cats must be in a carrier.
5. PROPERTY GROUNDS / PET CLEANUP
The grounds and gardens of The Winds Resort Beach Club are for the enjoyment of all of our guests, and we therefore request that, when possible, pets be walked off property for the purpose of relieving themselves. Guests accompanied by pets are responsible for cleaning up after their pets; a trash can for waste disposal is located at designated areas along the town’s public roads. Please use the plastic bags provided (never use the resort’s towels or linen).
6. PET DAMAGE
Owners are responsible for all damage caused to the unit and premises by their pet. The Winds reserves the right to remove any pet for improper behavior, including, but not limited to, excessive barking, biting, evidence of disease, or urination or defecation in public areas. The unit of pet guests is inspected after check out, with damages assessed and charged accordingly. Excessive damage may include charges for professional cleaning, rug replacement, and lost revenue charges while the room is out of service due to cleaning and repairs.
